‘Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.’ Isaiah 12:2
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
The Plan of Salvation our Lord instituted didn’t include our ability to become gods. Nor did it include works. The Lord’s plan centered on one thing — His gift to us of His Son. As an FYI, the word salvation is in the Bible 158 times – 115x in the OT, and 43x in the NT. Not one of those times does it say we’ll become gods.
Our sin nature prevents us from doing anything good enough to earn salvation, hence, He sent His Jesus to do what we could not (Jude 24-25).
Stating we need works for salvation is equivalent to rejecting God’s gift of His Son.
Share the steps of how to receive salvation with a Mormon today! The Romans Road to Salvation is a great place to start and is sometimes referred to as the synopsis of the entire Bible.
Here’s the link for the Romans Road to Salvation from our site.
Mr. Wong used a lot of fluff to describe salvation which didn’t include anything our Lord has already revealed in His word.
As a side note here – a great resource we use is a book entitled ‘100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart’ by Robert J. Morgan. His book included the importance of Romans Road when sharing the gospel. You can find it online at your favorite bookstore.
