Ponder these three truths: 1. The Restoration is a process, not an event, and will continue until the Lord comes again. 2. The ultimate objective of the gathering of Israel is to bring the blessings of the temple to God’s faithful children. 3. As we seek how to accomplish that objective more effectively, the Lord reveals more insights. The ongoing Restoration needs ongoing revelation.” — Russell Nelson [emp. added]
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scripture.”
The tragedy for members of the Church is seen at its foundation. There’s no truth for people like my mother to lean on for stability in their spiritual life.
The undercurrent of their faith is much like riptides in the ocean. Their mandates take them further away from the Lord before they realize what’s happened. Making matters worse is how they’re required to pony up for salvation. The only constant in the spiritual game of Mormonism is to have open pocketbooks. You’ll need them to pay at the door.
After all, Mr. Nelson himself said ‘The ongoing Restoration needs ongoing revelation’. The God of the Bible has never needed anything! Lastly beloved, why aren’t Jesus’ teachings at the center of knowing more about Him? How does a physical building increase understanding?
Shame on Mr. Nelson and other LDS leaders for leading so many away from Jesus. Be sure to pray for their salvation and share the truth with them today!
