Satan’s Punishment

 January 11 — Satan’s Punishment. Doctrines of Salvation 1:65 “DEVILS DENIED MORTAL BODIES. The punishment of Satan and the third of the hosts of heaven who followed him, was that they were denied the privilege of being born into this world and receiving mortal bodies. They did not keep their first estate and were denied the opportunity of eternal progression.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

Hebrews 1:5 “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”

This verse from Hebrews may seem out of place for those unfamiliar with Mormonism.

Remember, Joseph Smith taught that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers. Lucifer wanted to save everyone, and the council of the gods didn’t agree with him so they tossed him and one-third of the spirits in the pre-existence out of heaven. Abraham 3:25-28

Their punishment was that they’d receive no bodies and roam earth to deceive the elect.

Please, share with a Mormon the only one in the pre-existence was the Lord – John 3:13. The Bible confirms again this in 1 Corinthians 15:44-47 stating man was first created from the earth and then raised a spiritual body.
