LDS: No Salvation without Joseph Smith

July 18 – Acts 4:12; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

_____

The concept of salvation in Christianity is quite simple. You believe in Jesus Christ and you’re saved. Likewise, believing in Christ makes one a Christian, hence the name.

In Mormonism however things aren’t quite so simple…

_____

Mormon Doctrine, p. 471; “If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” – Bruce McConkie

_____

If belief in Joseph Smith is necessary for salvation, why aren’t Mormons known by Smith’s name? And why isn’t his name Joseph Christ?
Pray that they’ll see the problem with this and rely on Jesus, not Joseph!

With Love in Christ –
