Brigham’s Unsure How Earth was Created

 August 30 — Journal of Discourses 14:116-117 “As for the Bible account of the creation we may say that the Lord gave it to Moses, or that Moses obtained the history and traditions of the fathers, and from them picked out what he considered necessary…no matter whether it is correct or not, and whether the Lord found the earth empty or void, or whether he made it out of nothing or out of the rude elements…it will remain a matter of speculation in the minds of men unless he give revelation on the subject.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, May 14, 1871

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

Genesis 1:1-2 “1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

This man has already prophesied God didn’t make the earth out of nothing. This makes it a false prophecy that came from a false prophet.

This passage in God’s word is quite simple!

The Bible didn’t say that God found the earth empty or void. The only speculation there is comes from Brigham’s icky thoughts!

It’ll never cease to amaze me why they named a university after this man…

Please, pray for Jesus to intervene!
