No Fellowship with Polygamists Allowed

 August 27 — Messenger and Advocate (May 1837), p. 511 “1st. That we will have no fellowship whatever with any Elder belonging to the quorums of the Seventies who is guilty of polygamy or any offense of the kind, and who does not in all things conform to the laws of the church contained in the Bible and in the Book of Doctrine and Covenants.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”.

This is a lie. Joseph and company were already practicing polygamy by 1837. Doctrine and Covenants contains warnings to Emma that if she didn’t accept Joe’s concubines God would send her to hell.
