August 8 – John 5:26; ‘For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.’

No where in this passage of scripture does it say that God has a body of flesh and bones but Joseph Smith’s words have convinced millions of people otherwise.

In the book, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, it says on pg. 181; ‘That which is without body, parts and passions is nothing. There is no other God in heaven but that God who has flesh and bones. John 5:26. As the Father hath life in himself, even so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself. God the Father took life unto himself precisely as Jesus did.’
