The Lord Needs Help with 900,000 New Converts

October 18 — Couched in a string of ads and General Conference articles was an announcement by Elder Quentin Cook. He told everyone their god needs help with the 900,000 new converts and returning members they had acquired in the past 36 months. To read his note see Messages on belonging from October 2025 general conference Saturday sessions.

Our question today is something we’ve asked many times before.

Why are you worshiping a god that needs your help?

In the past they’ve said their god isn’t omnipresent so how could he be there if/when you need him?

See The god of Mormonism which is part of our series on Foundation of Mormonism. The Church has clearly stated their god is not omnipresent. The first person declaring this was no less than Joe Smith himself in Doctrine and Covenants 130:22-23.

It also seems odd they’re claiming that 900,000 people have either joined or come back to the Church. Just out of the blue they have 900,000 people.

Do you really think you’d stand a chance of this god hearing you?

Mr. Cook also said,

“Focus on the covenants necessary for exaltation…Gospel knowledge is not a saving ordinance; it is a blessing obtained incrementally over time.”

????

This short message in their long list of stuff they published was packed with more questions than answers.

Please pray for Mormons to start asking questions!

With Love in Christ —

Michelle
