Conference Quote: Sacrament Replaces Sacrifices of Blood and Burnt Offerings

April 12 — General Conference, ‘I Feel My Savior’s Love’, April 2026 “The sacrament is the ordinance that replaces the sacrifices of blood and burnt offerings of the Mosaic law. … As we partake of this ordinance with a broken heart, the Lord promises us the blessing of having the companionship and constant guidance of the Holy Ghost.

… I testify of the sacred mantle of our prophet, President Dallin H. Oaks, as a prophet, seer, and revelator. ” — Pedro X. Larreal

1 Corinthians 11:26 “For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”

The sacrament (communion) did not replace the OT sacrifices. It was instituted as a symbol to remember what Jesus did for us. Jesus fulfilled the Law of sacrifices when He died on the cross for our sins. He was the Lamb that was slain! Rev. 5:12

At the Last Supper Jesus outlined this to the apostles. Matthew 26:17-30

Taking communion doesn’t give us the blessing of having the Holy Ghost to be with us.

In Christianity all believers have God’s Holy Spirit and taking Communion doesn’t change this.

In a loving manner, please, explain this to a Mormon you know!

With Love in Christ —
