1 Timothy 4:1; “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
The godhood doctrine of Mormonism is the perfect example of the doctrines of demons and devils. There is no other god beside the One and Only True God of the Bible! God tells us there are no other gods before, after or beside Him – Isaiah 43:10-11. There is no salvation outside of His Son Christ Jesus who died for us on the cross to pay for our sins – Romans 4:12, 10:9.
No amount of obedience to anything called a gospel ordinance earns anything for you because there is no such thing! And no amount of obedience to try and become perfect will pave the way to heaven because Jesus already did that for us!
Bringing God down to man’s level and exalting man to the exalted position of God is a form of idolatry and denying Christ. This is what the Apostle John was referring to in his epistle – 1 John 4:3; “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
