 The Gospel through the Ages 16 “INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES … Among the spirits assembled at that great council there were no two exactly alike. Some were more intelligent, more daring, more obedient than others. … …it was but natural for a difference of opinion to develop over the two proposed plans of salvation.

Lucifer vigorously campaigned for his plan, which was in opposition to the original Gospel pattern. His proposition, however, appealed to many of God’s children, especially to the unadventurous ones. For them victory and salvation seemed to be assured if they followed Lucifer.
