God’s Glory: Is it Jesus, or Having Kids?

Psalm 62:7 “In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.”

Ensign, ‘Children,’, Nov. 2011, 28; “When a child is born to a husband and wife, they are fulfilling part of our Heavenly Father’s plan to bring children to earth. The Lord said, ‘This is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man’ [Moses 1:39]. Before immortality, there must be mortality” – Neil Andersen

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Mankind is completely incapable of doing anything to ‘help’ God fulfill His plans. Furthermore, God’s work and glory are found in our Lord Jesus Christ. To assume otherwise is folly.

The glory of mankind is rejoicing in the salvation God so lavishly bestowed upon us, and not in anything we could think of doing on our own.

Please pray Mormons will come to have a saving knowledge of this glorious truth!
