May 17 – God’s Glory v. Celestial Glory. 2 Corinthians 4:6; “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Loving and knowing the correct God is a prerequisite to dwelling with Him in the hereafter. As Paul said, God’s glory is found in the face of His Son, Jesus Christ. We cannot claim a place in heaven if we’re not worshiping His Son. Celestial glory is nothing more than the Mormon heaven where they believe they’ll live as a forever polygamous family forever. D&C 132:19 It also means they’ve become exalted and will receive godhood status so they can populate their own planet someday. Also see Mormon Doctrine, p.115.
Ask your Mormon friend what celestial glory has to do with God. Is there any place for God in the Mormon’s version of heaven?

Ensign, “An Invitation to Exaltation,” (Conference Edition), May 1988, p.53; “It is the celestial glory which we seek. It is in the presence of God we desire to dwell. It is a forever family in which we want membership. Such blessings must be earned” – Thomas Monson
According to Mormon doctrine (beliefs), God is flesh and bone just like man.(DC 130:1,22) and resides in the Celestial Kingdom. However, the Bible clearly states that God is a spirit (John 4:24) and that flesh and blood (bone) cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50).
It is sad that the Mormons completely ignore what the Bible says in favor of what Joseph Smith has said. The way the church gets away with that is by citing the 8th Article of Faith.
