Witnessing Tip of the Day December 19

2014 Vinegar given to Jesus How much more?  Zechariah 12:10b; “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn”

John 19:30; “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

The Messiah would be both God and man … And that God gave His Son to give us life! Each time I think of God it’s like it was the day I was saved, all over again. It’s been over 20 years ago that I began worshiping Him and I still can’t believe He saved me, of all people.

How much more could Jesus have done for us? He stepped out of heaven where everything is perfect and came down here where everything’s wrong.

He literally became every sin so we (I) could be found righteous in the eyes of the Father. The innocent One took my guilt and shame because either I couldn’t bare them myself, or being the sinner I am, didn’t want to. The spirit of grace was indeed poured down on us!

Fervent prayers are most needed for the Mormon people because they don’t accept John 19:30. They’ve been tricked into believing they have to work for salvation and they have to work to have forgiveness.

Journal of Discourses 23:174-175; “It is believed by many in the Christian world, that our Savior finished his mission when he expired upon the cross, and his last words on the cross, as given by the Apostle John—”it is finished,” are frequently quoted as evidence of the fact; but this is an error. Christ did not complete his mission upon the earth until after his body was raised from the dead. Had his mission been completed when he died, his disciples would have continued fishermen, carpenters, etc., for they returned to their several occupations soon after the crucifixion…” – Joseph F. Smith, Salt Lake City, June 18, 1882
