The Father’s Full and Perfect Provision. Zechariah 12:10c; “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn”
John 1:11; “He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”

The Messiah would be rejected … The comments by the Mormon prophet today are a lie. He doesn’t believe Jesus secured our salvation and making matters worse, in the guise of a prophet from God he falsely proclaims the same damning message to those who revere his authority. They’re a clear example of how someone can reject the Promised Messiah.
If God can provide for the newborn fawn my husband and I saw, He can certainly pour grace down on the humans He created, and wants a relationship with!
Watching His Son die a cruel death had to be excruciating. The pain it must have caused His heart can’t be explained even by the most eloquent of writers. In sum, He did that on purpose because of His great love, and concern for us, and if He can orchestrate events to protect an animal, consider the lengths He goes to for us.

He is Risen; A Prophet’s Testimony, Liahona, April 2012; “I believe that none of us can conceive the full import of what Christ did for us in Gethsemane, but I am grateful every day of my life for His atoning sacrifice in our behalf. At the last moment, He could have turned back. But He did not. He passed beneath all things that He might save all things. In doing so, He gave us life beyond this mortal existence. He reclaimed us from the Fall of Adam. To the depths of my very soul, I am grateful to [the Savior]. He taught us how to live. He taught us how to die. He secured our salvation.” —President Thomas S. Monson
