LDS GOD PROMISED RICHES

Journal of Discourses 12:322; “Has God said anything about temporal riches? Yes. He told this Church, before it was one year old that we should become the richest of all people. His words will be fulfilled. The Lord says we shall not only have the riches of eternity, but we shall have the riches of the earth. God does not care how much wealth His people have, provided they obtain it according to the law he has instituted.” – Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, November 1, 1868

Matthew 6:21, 24; “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Some things just speak for themselves, and this is one of those.

Historically, the mindset of this church has equated fat pocketbooks with righteousness. Sadly, they’ve fallen way short on the latter while placing too much value on the former. Pray for those who’ve fallen into this trap!
