LDS: Sacrificing Animals Must be Restored

Doctrines of Salvation 3:94~ “Now in the nature of things, the law of sacrifice will have to be restored, or all things which were decreed by the Lord would not be restored. It will be necessary, therefore, for the sons of Levi, who offered the blood sacrifices anciently in Israel, to offer such a sacrifice again to round out and complete this ordinance in this dispensation. Sacrifice by the shedding of blood was instituted in the days of Adam and of necessity will have to be restored. The sacrifice of animals will be done to complete the restoration…” ~ Joseph Fielding Smith, 1956

Galatians 2:20-21 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

The sacrifice of animals would only be needed to complete a restoration of a manmade gospel.

Everything about their fallacious doctrine is a direct insult, not to mention a wholesale rejection, of God’s most precious gift: His Son Jesus who is the Christ. It’s obvious this is not a Christian organization, nor should anyone mistake it as such. Share the truth with a Mormon you know, and ask how their prophet’s teaching lines up with what Jesus said –

John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Lastly, also ask for their definition of the ‘Lamb of God’.
