A Chance to Die

August 4 — A Chance to Die. Galatians 2:20-21 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

The advent of the information age brought the opportunity for everyone to add their 2¢ to any topic imaginable. In the sixteen years Life After Ministries has been online, we’ve seen our fair share of reactions to sharing the gospel; both good, and bad.

Today we’re looking at a recent comment from someone who didn’t agree with our article, Book of Mormon’s Ziff Myth.
To read the article in full, and the correspondence, click on link above. Now Mr. Grover’s reaction was very low-key in light of other things we’ve experienced, but it brought to mind what Amy Carmichael said in her book, Gold by Moonlight, pp. 80-81.

“A crucified life cannot be self-assertive. It cannot protect itself. It cannot be startled into resentful words. The cup that is full of sweet water cannot spill bitter-tasting drops, however sharply it is knocked.”

It saddens our hearts to think that someone has banked all of eternity on ‘’another gospel’.

We can assure you Mr. Grover, that we’ve read the BoM many times, hence, this website. We pray you’ll stop to think of what the Lord Christ Jesus said when He proclaimed, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life’. John 14:6. Also consider Acts 4:12 which says, there is ‘no other name under heaven by which we are saved’. As for Mr. Grover’s  comment to stop being a hypocrite, using Mt. 7:5…. God’s word reminds us to warn others of false teachers who come into the flock who tries to destroy the body of Christ. Acts 20:28-30. This has always been the mission of this ministry. We’re not here to bash, or demean the Mormon people, but to warn.

Our deepest prayer for you, and all Mormons, is to have a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and Him crucified. Know that we’re praying for you!

Here in part, is what Mr. Grover had to say about our article, after our initial response to him –

“If you bothered to read any of them [articles on his site], you might gain a better understanding of what the Book of Mormon is instead of the ridiculous stuff that is on your website.

I am very familiar with the Bible as I went to theology school at the Gregorian University and the Biblicum in Rome  and worked inside of the Vatican. I’m a licensed civil engineer and a licensed geologist so I think you will find all of the books there very well researched to the highest academic standards and they have all been peer reviewed by non-LDS persons. Don’t worry about saving my soul, I talk to God daily and am on pretty good terms with him. I would actually read the Book of Mormon if I were you before you make all of these crazy claims. Only those who are afraid of the truth will never find it. Matthew 7:5”
