Notice in our text above how God told Noah which animal to take into the ark. Glaringly absent is the mention of any fish! Hmmm… Maybe it was because God had that one taken care of? Some lies border on the ludicrous.
Smith “prophesied” that when the Jews sailed across the ocean to come to the American continent, they were to take fish in the boat they built.
We’re wondering how this went considering Ether 6:6 tells us they were buried into the depths of the sea. How did the fish and/or anything survive in such conditions?
The other problem with the text in Ether – there were no Jews at the time, making this another anachronistic problem.

Ether 2:2-3 “And they did also lay snares and catch fowls of the air; and they did also prepare a vessel, in which they did carry with them the fish of the waters. And they did also carry with them desert, which, by interpretation, is a honey bee; and thus they did carry with them swarms of bees, and all manner of that which was upon the face of the land, seed of every kind”.
