Ether 6:7; “And it came to pass that when they were buried in the deep there was no water that could hurt them, their vessels being tight like unto a dish, and also they were tight like unto the ark of Noah…”
Genesis 6:14; “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.”
The Bible tells us the flood took place during the days of Noah which would’ve been circa 2344.
The Jaredites supposedly lived circa BC 2600-2200. How would they have known detailed info about Noah if God had confounded all the languages at the Tower of Babel? – Gen. 11:9.
Did they know Noah personally and if so then why doesn’t the BoM reflect this?
Which of Noah’s three sons did the spring from? Our choices are Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Specifically, where did the Jaredites land? Why aren’t there any maps or information on the geographical locations they lived in? All we see are generalized stories of warring nations and then they killed themselves off just like the Nephites and Lamanites.
What were these “barges” made of? Where did they get the materials to build them?
Where were they living when they set sail? Why did they leave to begin with? There aren’t any identifying markers in the book of Ether detailing why they needed to set sail.
Remember, there was no nation of Israel at this time in history, no tribes, no writings to refer to…how did this come about?
