Why Don’t Mormons Believe Nephi?

 November 15 – Why Don’t Mormons Believe Nephi? Colossians 1:16-17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

There are two problems with the Mormon quote today.

First, they do not believe that Jesus created the earth; they believe he helped organize it (Abraham 4:1).

Secondly, they do not believe in the Deity (D&C 130:22).

3 Nephi 9:15-16 “Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name.  I came unto my own, and my own received me not. And the scriptures concerning my coming are fulfilled.”
