New Scofield Study Bible: “ISAIAH, whose name means salvation of the Lord, was the greatest of the writing prophets. No other prophet has written with such majestic eloquence about the glory of God (see ch. 40). Of all the O.T. prophets, Isaiah is the most comprehensive in range. No prophet is more fully occupied with the redemptive work of Christ. In no other place, in the Scriptures written under the law, is there so clear a view of grace.”
MOSES – Moses typifies Christ as Prophet (Acts 3:22-23), Advocate (Exo 32:31-35; 1 John 2:1-2), Intercessor (Exo 17:1-6; Heb 7:25), and Leader, or King.”

Honestly. Do you really believe Smith is greater than Isaiah or Moses?
Years ago, while visiting my mother in Utah I noticed in the center of her living room wall a huge picture of all 16 Mormon prophets. She asked me which prophet was my favorite and I had to tell her that I don’t like to pick and choose but I do really enjoy the writings of Isaiah.
When I asked her about her favorite she replied “Joseph” without using Smith’s last name. I’ve always found that interesting. They’ll refer to Joseph Smith by just his first name but never use the name of Jesus. Instead, they refer to him by His title of Christ and never His given name.
This is no accident.
In her defense I hadn’t heard of Isaiah as a Mormon, so it was no surprise when she told me she’d never heard of him.
Please pray for those in the Church who like my mother haven’t heard of Isaiah and trust Joe Smith more than the Bible. Be sure to share the great news of how the Lord used Isaiah!
With Love in Christ –
