Discourses of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 7 “In thirty nations are men and women who look upon him as a greater leader than Moses and a greater prophet than Isaiah; his disciples now number close to a million [the present figure is over 3.5 million]; and already a granite shaft pierces the sky over the place where he was born, and another is in course of erection over the place where he is credited with having received the inspiration for his Book. (John Henry Evans, op. cit., introduction.)” [This is obviously an old stat for the number of Mormons. The publication date was 2010.]

Honestly. Do you really believe Smith is greater than Isaiah or Moses? Several years ago, I wrote an article about this. I was visiting my mother in Utah and noticed in the center of her living room wall a huge picture of all 16 Mormon prophets hung proudly.
She asked me which prophet was my favorite, and I had to tell her that I don’t like to pick and choose like that but I do really enjoy the writings of Isaiah.
When I asked her about her favorite she replied “Joseph” without using Smith’s last name.
I’ve always found that interesting. They’ll refer to Joseph Smith by just his first name but won’t use the name of Jesus. Instead, they refer to him by His title of Christ and never His given name. This is no accident.
Pray for Mormons to see the futility of following a fallible man instead of Jesus!

That’s ridiculous. They give Joseph Smith so much credit and they don’t really know him. It amazes me how they can believe a man they don’t even know but can’t trust Jesus. Just because someone says they seen God or Jesus and writes a book, doesn’t mean he is honest. Prayers for them all.

I just read uncle dales articles: demings naked truths. Mormons back in the 1800s don’t sound very nice. Bom was probably inspired from Spaulding s manuscript or maybe borrowed😁
