False prophecies A-Z!

Here’s the 3rd installment in our ongoing series, ‘Worst of the Worst’. To be sure, the true God of the Bible doesn’t rank one sin above another, for He said, ‘All sins shall be forgiven of men, except blasphemy against the Holy Ghost’. Mt. 12:31

With this in mind, we admit it’s difficult sometimes to ignore the blasphemies we read in Mormon theology, thus our list here. You can read the two previous installments in the first link below.

As always, we want to reiterate that we do not publish these things to bash, or inflame the Mormon people. Rather, we do this to educate everyone; LDS, and non-LDS.

Above all we pray the Mormon people will come to a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and Him crucified!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle

Journal of Discourses 21:159 “It was this priesthood that would be the means of introducing him into the presence of God that Abraham found that he was a rightful inheritor of, according to his lineage and descent, and he applied for an ordination, which he received, according to the revelation given unto us, and with that ordination the powers, the blessings, the light, intelligence and revelation associated with the Gospel of the Son of God.” – John Taylor, 14th Ward Meetinghouse, December 7, 1879 (more…)

While looking for a reference on our site, I came across a HUGE oversight. Yikes! All this time I thought I had published all of our Mormon Quotes. Come to find out I hadn’t. Ugh. So today we’re posting the missing references for ‘A’, and ‘B’. Minor details. 🙂

Everything from ‘C’ onward should be okay! The real story here is that we pray it helps Christians as a witnessing tool to Mormons. And for the Mormons, we pray you’ll verify what we’ve presented with what the Church says so you’ll see how LDS teachings aren’t orthodox and far from godly. Here we go! (more…)

Journal of Discourses 12:315; “And you, sisters, cease trading with any man or being in this city or country who does not belong to the church. If you do not, we are going to cut you off from the church, for we are determined not to be driven or broken up again, and we are determined to deal with love and sustain our nation, our community. We mean to live here. We came 1,400 miles to get away from that power which is trying to get into our midst to break us up again. … we calculate to stay here if you will do as I tell you, and cease trading with those who are not of us. Do you suppose that Jesus did not understand the spirit and the feelings of the world when He said, “He who is not for us is against us.” Every man and woman of intelligence that ever was or ever will be upon the earth is either for God or against Him.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, November 29, 1868

First and foremost, I do this because I believe it’s important everyone has access to truth.  You deserve and need to know the truth before you invest yourself in something as important as your salvation!

3000 Mormon QuotesAs I mentioned last week Melissa and I have been organizing all our quotes and as I’ve been going through these things some categories stood out more than others.

Today I’m listing a few of our quotes that I’ve called the ‘worst of the worst’. Sometimes the remarks that LDS leaders have come up with boggles my mind.  I can’t get over how blasphemous some of these are.

Joseph Smith Greater than Isaiah & Moses

Discourses of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 7; In thirty nations are men and women who look upon him as a greater leader than Moses and a greater prophet than Isaiah; his disciples now number close to a million [the present figure is over 3.5 million]; and already a granite shaft pierces the sky over the place where he was born, and another is in course of erection over the place where he is credited with having received the inspiration for his Book. (John Henry Evans, op. cit., introduction.)
