Ham’s name wasn’t given to him because he may have married a black woman. Noah named him Ham long before the Bible says anything about Ham being married. Here’s what the Blue letter bible has to say about Ham —
“Genesis 5:32 meaning of the name Ham — warm, hot, and hence the south; also an Egyptian word meaning “black”, the youngest son of Noah (Gen 5:32; Gen 9:22,24). The curse pronounced by Noah against Ham, properly against Canaan his fourth son, was accomplished when the Jews subsequently exterminated the Canaanites.”
The Church likes to take one thing from the Bible and build an entire doctrine on it even when their theories are wrong. As I’ve said many times before, they make it up as they go along…sigh…
