One God in Book of Mormon
Lots and lots and lots of gods in Mormonism
Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 370; “I will preach on the plurality of Gods. I have selected this text for that express purpose. I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preach [sic] on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods. It has been preached by the Elders for fifteen years. I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.”
1 Timothy 2:5; “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
So how many gods are there in Mormonism; one or three? And technically aren’t there more than three when you believe the Mormon god had a father who had a father who had a father…?
In reality and what you won’t hear much talk of lately is that Mormons believer there are billions upon billions of gods, not just one and not just three.
Who’s telling the truth? Is it Alma or Joseph Smith?
