If nothing else comes through our posts, let it be this one. It’s a warning for the body of Christ; beware dear ones, beware!
The LDS Church published an article this month serving as a reminder their tactics haven’t changed over the past 185 years. Their montage of attacks against the body of Christ is still the same stuff, on a different day. Because of its length we’re looking at only a part of this today, but will revisit it again.
Here in part is what Mr. Holland said –
Liahona, ‘Knowing the Godhead,’ January 2016 “
The Prophet Joseph Smith said, “It is the first principle of the gospel to know for a certainty the character of God.”1 Furthermore, he added, “I want you all to know Him, and to be familiar with Him.”2 We must have “a correct idea of his … perfections, and attributes” and an admiration for “the excellency of [His] character.”3

Ensign, ‘The Eternal Gospel,’ July 1996, p. 53; “Knowing what we know concerning God our Father — that he is a personal being; that he has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as our own; that he is an exalted and glorified being; that he was once a man and dwelt on an earth – and knowing that this knowledge was had by many of the ancients, should we be surprised to find legends and myths throughout the cultures of the earth concerning gods who have divine power but human attributes and passions? … Should we be surprised to find pagan traditions of virgin births and divine humans?” – Robert L. Millet

Journal of Discourses 13:125; “Jesus made his appearance on the earth in the meridian of time, and he established his kingdom on the earth. But to fulfill ancient prophecies the Lord suffered that kingdom to be uprooted; in other words, the kingdoms of this world made war against the kingdom of God, established eighteen centuries ago, and they prevailed against it, and the kingdom ceased to exist. The great beast that John saw made war with it and prevailed against it, and human institutions, without prophets or inspired men, usurped the place of the ancient kingdom of God.” – Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, April 10, 1870

September 13 – Romans 10:15-17; “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

September 10 – 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; ‘To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.’

Reed Smoot Case, Vol. 1, pg 9; ““At the Sanpete Stake Conference, September, 1889, George Q. Cannon, first counselor to President Snow, states:
“The people of the world do not believe in breeding, but we do. So the people of the world will die out and we will fill the whole earth. I admit that those raising children by plural wives are not complying with man made laws, but in the sight of God they are not sinning, as there is no sin in it.””

Journal of Discourses 4:224; “Do you suppose that Joseph and Hyrum and all those good men would associate with those ancient worthies, if they had not been engaged in the same practices? They had to do the works of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in order to be admitted where they are;-they had to be polygamists in order to be received into their society. God knows that I am not ashamed of those good men now, and how much more I shall prize my associate polygamists, when I am further advanced in knowledge, I do not know. I am talking in earnest, and from the experience I have had.” – Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City, February 8, 1857
Deuteronomy 17:17; “Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.”
