Job 36:26; “Behold, God is great, and we know him not, Neither can the number of his years be searched out.”
1 John 1:5; “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”
‘Work’ in any ministry entails a lot of reading, and the longer someone is a Christian, the more comfortable and knowledgeable, they’ll become with His word. You learn that He is predictable, trustworthy, able to withstand any onslaught of what might come His way.
In my personal walk with the Lord I’m acutely aware of the times I’m not studying enough, or spending enough time in private prayer, and I’ve learned that it’s like this for all Christians. As someone matures in their life with the Lord, it becomes clearly apparent when study, or prayer time is lacking. The Lord lets them know through a variety of ways that the relationship isn’t where it should, or could be. This is one of the joys of knowing Him!
While I will always love this ‘job’ the Lord has given to me, the longer I’m a Christian and in ministry, I’ve noticed lately the more it hurts my heart for the Lord to read the things people in the Mormon Church say about Him. I used to say all the time that I couldn’t be more shocked about something I had read, but I learned about 20 years ago to stop thinking such things.
And that brings us to where we’re at for today!
During my everyday, regular type of research over the past few weeks, I’ve come upon some off-the-wall, random descriptions LDS leaders have said about different topics, i.e., gods, polygamy, race, blood atonement, et al. In light of my findings, don’t be surprised in the next several days if you see some of the things we’ve found!
Today the subject matter is about the god Mormons choose to worship.
