August 25 — Denial of Polygamy Means No Salvation. Journal of Discourses 3:266 “Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned; and I will go still further and say, take this revelation, or any other revelation that the Lord has given, and deny it in your feelings, and I promise that you will be damned.” – Brigham Young, Provo, July 14, 1855

It makes you wonder if the prophets who delivered the Manifesto in 1890 were thinking upon the words of their forefathers of Mormonism.
They had to be in the audience of when the many sermons were preached that damnation came to those who didn’t practice polygamy.
That was a prime opportunity for Mormons to turn to the One True God and they failed miserably.
Although Brigham gave this speech 169 years ago, the same LDS theology still holds true as seen in D&C 132:4-6. This of course says that if you don’t practice polygamy, you’re damned.
We can’t help but wonder what members today must think. Pray that they think these things through and compare them with what God’s word says!

I guess no Mormon is saved, since they’ve denied polygamy for over 100 years!
It’s unbelievable, right? If you’re an active Mormon there’s really no way to misinterpret this. Sigh.
