A set of wicked Apostates, murderers, and idolaters, who, after having made war with the saints, and overcome them, and destroyed them out of the earth, were left to follow the wicked imaginations of their own corrupt hearts, and to build up churches by human authority, and to follow after the cunning craftiness of uninspired men; having no Apostle, Prophet, or Revelator to inquire of God for them: and thus, because of wickedness, the Church, and Priesthood, and gifts, and ordinances and blessings of the everlasting Gospel, were taken from the earth, and reserved in heaven until the fulness of times, when it was predicted that they should again be restored among men to continue until the end should come.” – Orson Pratt

Oh, how Jesus’ words are a comfort to me every day of my life. When I rise in the morning and lay my weary head down at night, I am reminded of His promises to me and so grateful He is ever truthful.
Whenever I speak to a group of Christians, I always tell them I’m looking at a real life miracle. Jesus promised us He’d never leave nor forsake us! Matthew 16:18
How could the Bible be filled with so many lies as the Mormon Church proclaims and still be in existence?
The answer is that it’s not and Christians everywhere already know this. God wouldn’t lie to us, but man would and has. A few examples are found in Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18, 2 Timothy 2:13 and Malachi 3:6.
Imagine sitting through sermons like this week after week and year after year. What a dismal way to live life.
I often wonder if Pratt spoke this way while out on a mission somewhere and speaking to Christian congregations in England or Wales. Wouldn’t that mean the people he was speaking to are the whores and apostates?
I grew up hating Christians because of talks like this. The first thing I did after accepting Jesus as my God and Savior was to repent for hating the body of Christ.
Please pray for Mormons to repent and ask Jesus to take the place of the animosity they have inside.

I feel the same way, it is a miracle. Whenever I go to church and sit amongst believers, it proves God NEVER abandoned His Church.
It’s interesting Mr. Pratt says “EVERLASTING” gospel. It can’t be everlasting if it was taken from the earth.
The LDS church has a Humpty Dumpty version of the gospel that was pieced together by the past leaders…and is still very broken.
This is the Gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
” Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand.
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”.
So according to scriptures, the gospel was received, delivered and preached. And it’s the only gospel that saves, and the only one we continue to stand. That Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose on the third day. It has never changed and it never left the earth. Hallelujah!!!

AMEN Melissa. AMEN! That’s what has always shocked me after leaving Mormonism. Christians are everywhere. PTL!
Mormons always say they have never denigrated “other” Christians. All one has to do is read them their own history!
As I’ve always said, they’re condemned by their own history. 😉
