LDS: Jesus’ Wives Greeted Him at Tomb

The Seer, p.159 “One thing is certain, that there were several holy women that greatly loved Jesus –– such as Mary, and Martha her sister, and Mary Magdalene; and Jesus greatly loved them and associated with them much…now it would be very natural for a husband in the resurrection to appear first to his own dear wives, and afterwards show himself to his other friends. If all the acts of Jesus were written, we no doubt should learn that these beloved women were his wives.” – Orson Pratt, October 1853

Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient”.

One of the most remarkable things about Pratt’s nonsense is how our Lord always stays the same. No matter the nonstop heresies people come up with God, in His infinite wisdom, has been there and seen that.

Using one phrase from a verse in John’s gospel (John 21:25) was all Pratt needed to make excuses for his bizarre theology of Jesus being married.

Although Mr. Pratt published this 165 years ago, the premise of it still has a place in LDS doctrines. Marriage is mandatory for everyone in Mormonism, and it’s seen in the fact they believe they’re a product of a god with multiple wives. How sad for the Mormon people whose leaders could have taught about the 37 Miracles of Jesus instead of these lies.

Share the truth of who Jesus is with a Mormon you know!

With Love in Christ;
