Departed Dead Live on Sun, Moon, and Stars

Journal of Discourses 5:71 “The sun, moon, and stars are the representatives of the final homes of the departed dead, if not their real homes. … Here are homes for all grades of spirits, from the faithful martyr to Christ’s kingdom and Gospel, whose glory is represented by the sun in the firmament, to the wicked tare, who will be sent away into outer darkness, upon some planet destined to roll in endless night.” — Orson Hyde, Great Salt Lake City, March 8, 1857

Ecclesiastes 12:7 “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

Revelation 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Saved, or unsaved, all spirits go back to God who gave them life.

When the very end comes, those who are saved will be with Jesus for eternity. Those who aren’t saved will be cast into the lake of fire.

There’s nothing in the Bible telling us the wives’ tales Mr. Hyde told his audience that day. This is a good example of why Mormons are so confused about heaven, and the Lord Himself.

Pray for those caught in these awful lies, and for the leadership to denounce the past false teachers!
