LDS Blessed Listening to Authorized Leaders

LDS Newsroom General Conference, Sunday Afternoon Session, April 2021 “Telling listeners that they have been “blessed abundantly” to learn about eternal principles from the Lord’s authorized servants, Elder Bednar invited Latter-day Saints to “learn, live and love principles of righteousness.”

“Only gospel truths can enable us to ‘cheerfully do all things that lie in our power’ to press forward on the covenant path and to ‘see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed,’” Elder Bednar said.”

For more info see David A. Bednar: ‘The Principles of My Gospel’.

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 1:17 “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”

The three Bible verses above are pretty clear. Jesus is the only one with authority we should give heed to.

A bigger blessing for LDS members could’ve been had by listening to the truth about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, and His subsequent resurrection.

Furthermore, it seemed rather arrogant to declare someone would be blessed by listening to your own voice.

Pray for those who listened to this man’s talk to stop and think about what he said.

With Love in Christ —

Michelle
