2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”.
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The contradictory messages from LDS leadership should come as no surprise. The disturbing part of their news brief is what they don’t use to guide their path. Psalm 119:105 says –
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.”
Their comments reminded me of what Alistair Begg said at a conference in Seattle – ‘When we lose sight of the cross, we lose our way through the Bible’.
The only way to avoid mayhem and confusion in this world is through the guidance of reading the Bible and His Holy Spirit residing inside us as believers.
