Self-Made Salvation of Mormonism

‘When I consider the cross of Christ, how can anything that I do be called sacrifice?’ — Amy Carmichael

Gospel Standards, p. 5 “We must save ourselves and stand for our own sins. We cannot blame our negligence upon somebody else. June 3, 1889: 8; Utah Enquirer, June 4, 1889.” — Heber J. Grant, 7th LDS President

Matthew 10:32-33 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

Mr. Grant’s words stopped me in my tracks when I read them awhile back and my reaction hasn’t changed. Why do they say they believe in Jesus?

Although Grant gave his talk 135 years ago the effects of it are still permeating the halls of Mormon thought today. The false apostle D Todd Christofferson gave a similar talk at the April GC telling people that true salvation is found only in the Celestial Kingdom which means Mormons have to earn their way to heaven. Adding insult to injury Nelson declared the same thing that day.

I’ve been in ministry for 30 years and their lies will never cease to amaze me…

As many of my readers know I’m always asking everyone to pray for my mother who’s bought into the lies Joe Smith taught 194 years ago. Long story short she’s now showing signs of dementia. Needless to say, my heart is absolutely broken.

Please, continue to pray for her and all the other Mormons who need to know the true Jesus of the Bible!

With Love in Christ —

Michelle
