‘Full Tithe’ is Essential

General Conference, ‘Face the Future with Faith’, May 2011 “To develop enduring faith, an enduring commitment to be a full-tithe payer is essential. Initially it takes faith to tithe. Then the tithe payer develops more faith to the point that tithing becomes a precious privilege.” — Russell M. Nelson

2 Corinthians 9:7 “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

The Church has never followed the NT biblical standard for tithing, nor have they cared. This is seen in how they’ve instituted yet another law into their version of the gospel. Their church isn’t a restoration of the original Christian church, rather, it’s a new 19th century invention.

The Bible plainly spells out that each believer gives what the Lord has laid on his/her heart. Furthermore, there are no more ‘laws’, as Jesus came to fulfill all things. Sadly, the Mormon people have rejected what He said, hence, our LDS reference today.

Remind a Mormon how tithes we give are between the donor, and the Lord.

Lastly, how  is it a ‘precious privilege’ to tithe when your salvation depends on it? This isn’t a privilege, but works. Giving to an organization who has closed books, and hordes billions of dollars isn’t a sound practice – financially, or spiritually.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
