If Jesus is Jehovah…
Mormon Doctrine, pg 392; “Christ is Jehovah; they are one and the same Person. The word Jehovah itself is the anglicized form of the Hebrew Yahweh, which refers to the God of Israel… Later he revealed himself to Moses and others by the same name.”
Exodus 20:3; “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
If Jesus is Jehovah in the Old Testament and the God of Israel presented the Ten Commandments to Moses who emphatically commanded you shall have no other gods, then which god is the Mormon god?
Furthermore, if the God (Jesus) that appeared to Moses is the God of the Israelites does that mean Mormons aren’t part of the Israelites? After all, Mormons claim that Jesus is their elder brother, not their father and certainly not their god.
If the Mormon Jesus is Jehovah and he was merely delivering the OT commandments for Heavenly Father, then what other scriptures in the OT refer to Heavenly Father independent of Jesus (Jehovah)?
