March 16 – Matthew 2:1; “Now Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea…”

As of 2017, the Book of Mormon has had more than 5,200 changes made to it that are not considered typographical errors. Even today’s writings in the Book of Mormon contain a falsehood about Jesus’ birthplace. Ask your Mormon friend what they think about this and remind them that their personal opinion matters to you!

Alma 7:10; “And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers…”
Unfortunately, most are cool with the “it’s a suburb” answer.
Many might be, no doubt,. I always mention to missionaries that suburbs don’t fulfill prophecies from biblical prophecies so that’s a problem… 😉
As the political winds blow, so goes the church. The restored gospel is a false gospel. Sure, there are many wonderful verses testifying to salvation thru Jesus Christ. So may verses in the BOM are taken directly from the Bible. I don’t have a problem with that. What I have a problem with is two things. One, the restored gospel is an add on to the Biblical Gospel. We are warned in Revelations 18:22 and again in Galatians 1:6-8, of there being men that would preach another gospel to us other than the gospel we have already received. The second thing that is wrong about the restored gospel, is that in the Mormon Church, this is the gospel that Mormons are most encouraged to embrace. I have heard countless talks in sacrament meeting, stake conferences and General Conferences, about the importance of reading the Book of Mormon. I have heard countless talks on scriptural study where the word Bible was never once mentioned. The entire restored gospel is about serving the Mormon Church. When Mormons do go out and look for opportunities to serve their fellow man, it is usually done with an ulterior motive; get the person you are serving to come to church and have them agree to meet with the missionaries. This is called a missionary moment.
