March 18 — Discourses of Joseph Smith, p. 243 “What the Book of Mormon Is.
The Book of Mormon is a record of the forefathers of our western tribes of Indians; having been found through the ministration of an holy angel, and translated into our own language by the gift and power of God, after having been hid up in the earth for the last fourteen hundred years, containing the word of God which was delivered unto them.
By it we learn that our western tribes of Indians are descendants from that Joseph who was sold into Egypt, [Gen. 45:4] and that the land of America is a promised land unto them, and unto it all the tribes of Israel will come, with as many of the Gentiles as shall comply with the requisitions of the new covenant. We have to wonder if the Israelites know…
The Israelites were bitter enemies of the Egyptians so why would they write the BoM in a so-called form of Egyptian?
Joe Smith’s imagination was off the charts.
In a loving manner ask a Mormon if they’re aware of the problem between the Israelites and Egyptians.
Also ask if they’re aware of the fact that scientists have proven Native Americans and Israelites have no common DNA.
Please pray for these dear people to know Jesus and what His word says!
