If it is proven there is any information on this site or any of my sites that is factually incorrect I will publicly apologize and pull the wrong material off the site.
We look forward to an intellectually honest debate that is filled with respect for each other. Somehow when Mormons come to our site we’ve experienced rude behavior and name calling which is surprising considering Mormons refer to themselves as Christians.
This blog and my regular ministry site @ http://www.lifeafter.org are set up to hold all comments until it’s been moderated and approved. The next time you post a comment it should be posted automatically if you’ve been ‘cleared’ previously. Sounds good in theory right? There are times it doesn’t work and the comment will sit in our spam file until I see it and approve it manually.
If this happens to you – don’t despair! I’m at the desk throughout the day and check e-mails/comments regularly! Why this happens still remains a mystery to me…
Thanks and God bless!

I am a Christian. My son is not and is married to a sweet lady who is Morman. I love them dearly. Bought her a bible for Christmas. How do I love her and not offend her. She can’t understand how people say Mormans are not Christians if they believe in Christ. My response was I thought you didn’t believe Jesus was Divine.. She didn’t answer that. I do not want to hurt or alienate her. Help me to know how to handle our difference.
Yvonne- there is an article directly to the right of your posting titled “Mormons Worship A Different Jesus”. Check that out (and other articles on this page) to find out exactly why Biblical Christianity and Mormonism are not compatible… Take care and God bless you and your family.
Yvonne Petkovich,
If you really want to understand why she does not understand your claim, try 2 Nephi 25:26 and Mosiah 5:6-10 and 3:17.
Arguments with true-blue Mormons about their theology, history, and doctrines are usually not effective because of the apologetics and deception used by the Mormon Church to keep their rank-and-file members loyal. Most formerly-Christian converts to Mormonism exhibit cognitive dissonance the same way that buyers of dilapidated used cars from fraudulent salesmen will insist that they got a good deal even though the car is falling apart right in front of their eyes.
The best way, yet that I’ve found to convince active Mormons, who still believe that Mormonism is Christian, that Mormon theology is based on pagan polytheism is by letting them read the smoking-gun irrefutable proof of Mormon polytheism, which is “Lesson 21-Man May Become like God,” which was the last official statement of real 20th and 21st Century Mormon polytheistic theology. Lesson 21″ is from the 39-lesson 1984 LDS Melchizedek Priesthood Study Guide, “Search These Commandments,” and the 1984 Priesthood Study Guide was proclaimed and extolled as canon LDS scripture and commandments by the 1984 LDS First Presidency (the presiding Mormon prophet and his counselors), so it is still regarded as canon scripture. If your daughter-in-law reads “Lesson 21,” she will immediately note that it is not Christian to any degree, and will also note that “Lesson 21” contradicts the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. “Lesson 21-Man May Become like God” states the following:
1) That the Mormon father-god, with a capital G, was once a mortal man who was born on an earth-like planet somewhere in the cosmos, who followed the doctrines of Mormonism, and changed, and changed, and changed, to die, be resurrected, and be made into a Mormon father-god. with a capital G, by a council of Mormon gods, with a capital G. “Lesson 21” also states that the Mormon-father god, with a capital G, had a father-god, with a capital G, who was also once a mortal man who was made into a father-god, with a capital G.
2) That the ultimate destiny of every worthy Mormon elder (holder of the Mormon Melchizedek Priesthood) is to become as great as the Mormon father-gods, with a capital G, by becoming, every one of them, Mormon father-gods, with a capital G, to be empowered to create their own planets, procreate billions of spirit children with their goddess wives, heavenly mothers, and, each, a version of the savior known as the Mormon Jesus. In other words, “Lesson 21” teaches that there are as many Mormon father-gods, with a capital G, as there are stars, and as many saviors as there are Mormon father-gods, with a capital G. In other words, Mormon theology relates the one and only Jesus of the Holy Bible to the status of just another savior in a long line of saviors.
If you want me to send you an attached PDF copy of “Lesson 21-Man May Become Like God,” please email me at and I will promptly send out the copy.
You are wrong on many levels
So your policy is to lie until you get caught? Okay. Need to start going back through your posts where I have called you out on stuff and see if you did actually “publicly apologize[d] and pull[ed] the wrong material off the site.”
Spawn Orion – Why are you being so “anti-Michelle”? Ya know, questioning her postings and asking questions about her ministry and her motives. Or accusing her of lying until she gets caught…
Sounds familiar doesn’t it? We get called “anti-Mormon” all the time because we question and ask about the inconsistencies and lies within the past and present leadership of the LDS religion.
I am sure you can find anything you want to find when viewed in the light of Mormon reasoning and justification…. try this one on;
“Yes, there were some disturbing events in the church history that were unfortunate. There were untruths told by leaders of the church even from the prophets themselves but they have all been men, and man will make mistakes. Failed prophecies were for a reason. They were to challenge the faithful in the very last days of their faith. If you go back all the way to JS and go from prophet to prophet the failed prophecies and untruths have gotten fewer and fewer because God has been perfecting his church and it is increasingly getting closer to the perfect true church making way for the 2nd coming to finally occur”.
I personally dont care for what you post about us,
[ providing its honest and factual in context ]
because it teaches you more about the truth and what you have cast away and forgotten……..having stated this, I invite all you here to come to JESUS CHRIST and repent and be baptized in his name and have the gift of the holy ghost upon you after your baptism by them that have the authority to lay hands upon you…..>> John 3/3+5 ….Acts 3 & acts 10
Nephiman – You’re not the first Mormon to come here and say the things you did, and you won’t be the last. We already have Jesus Christ, we know that because of His work on the cross we have eternal life. Our salvation isn’t based on a religion but on our relationship with Him. He is our authority and the one who gives us the Holy Spirit. We have all we could ever ask for or need through Him, so why do we need Mormonism again? – Melissa Grimes
If you “We” already have Jesus Christ, we know that because of His work on the cross we have eternal life……But didnt CHRIST say certain things needed to be done in order to be saved?…Yes I remember he said these things, shall I point them out to you?……ok since you insist!…read below!
=====================================
(New Testament | Mark 10:17 – 21)
(New Testament | John 3:3 – 5)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God…..Jesus requires some effort on YOUR part besides the “gift of faith he gave you in return”, its called works!
————————————————————————–
And how can you receive this gift?
(New Testament | Romans 10:15)
And how shall they preach, except they be sent?
(New Testament | Luke 10:1)
AFTER these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come…..
(New Testament | Acts 3:19)
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord
YOU have no authority at all, and the one you claim, is false because it doesn’t co-inside with the “bible” does it?…And how do you get the holy ghost if NOT john 3 and acts 3..acts 9..acts 10?
YOUR faith alone is a dead teaching, faith alone is dead, being left unto itself…
(New Testament | James 2:20)
But wilt thou know, O vain man/woman, that faith without works is dead?
———————————————————————–
I am glad you seem to have everything you need, but will this be enough on the other side or mortality?
YOU dont need Mormonism, you need Christ and his kingdom and servants to save you, to be saved!
Matthew 28/19-20
Nephiman – Absolutely Jesus is enough. He is all I need. I’m saved, I’m part of God’s family, I’m His daughter and there’s nothing you can say that can ever change that, or make me doubt it!
My identity is in Jesus Christ, not a religion.
Galations 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Life after ministry,
I am Mormon and I’m really sorry that Mormons end up name calling on your site, considering the fact that we ARE Christians. And it really stinks when we get this kind of representation. I kind of get why they would get so angry about it, seeing this much STUFF against your beliefs that you have had affirmed again and again by the Holy Spirit does make me a little upset, but I think that there are much better ways of expressing that than making Jesus Christ’s true religion look like the world’s biggest hydra-jerk. Sorry ’bout that. As long as I participate on this site, I intend to do so respectfully and I won’t be a jerk to you or your staff. So yeah. There’s my promise. I would say “as a Mormon,” but it seems we don’t have a very…nice… reputation around here.
LDSgirl,
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, and for your willingness to respect the rules for commenting on our site.
Saying you’re a Christian doesn’t make you one any more than me standing in my garage and calling myself a car.
You must first examine what you believe about Him. To quote Jesus “who do you say that I am?” Who is He to you? Do you see Him as God incarnate and the Savior of the world, or is He just your elder spirit brother who was first created spiritually, then had to apply for role of Savior of the world alongside Lucifer?
As for as your religion being “Jesus Christ’s true religion” ” let’s get one thing straight, Jesus didn’t come to set up and organize a religion or a church, He came to save the world. Jesus made this very clear. He wants us to have a relationship with Him, not a religion. – Melissa Grimes

It’s tough to gain credibility Melissa with a statement like this unless your readers really don’t have much knowledge of the things you claim to be true. Whether or not the Mormon church is the only true church… you saying that Christ didn’t set up an organized religion is a great “cop out” for those that want to take bits and pieces from the scriptures and leave out the stuff they don’t necessarily like.
Have you forgotten about Ephesians 2: 19-20 or 4:11-14? Or do you just skip those verses when you read…?
“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;”
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
Does this not spell out that there was some sort of organization and the need for it? Not being a stranger but a fellow citizen (or member) of the household of God, perfecting saints, edifying the body of Christ, becoming unified in faith (hence all 40,000+ Christian religions can’t possibly be true since the goal of a church or organized religion should be to be completely unified. I suppose that’s where Ephesians 4:5 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism” just irks some who say “We don’t need religion to be close to God” or “We don’t need religion because God knows my heart.”) Then, Ephesians 4 gets a little more dicey for those that post on this website and agree with your fables and flattery because it says this organization of leaders (apostles, prophets etc.) not only help the saints become unified, but they help the saints come to a knowledge of Jesus Christ AND come to the measure and stature of His fulness. So, then, it’s not so blasphemous is it to have the belief of becoming like God and His Son, who is our Savior. Through the teachings of the leaders listed above we are supposed to come to measure up fully to Christ. The Book of Romans tell us we can be “joint-heirs” with Christ, which means to have all He has, which also doesn’t fit into what you and others believe I’m sure. We are to become perfect (as stated in Matthew), just like Christ and our Heavenly Father are perfect and that would be difficult if we didn’t do our best now to be obedient to the commandments and follow the teachings of not only the scriptures but of those they have placed on earth to help us. Otherwise, people would always be like children (spiritually immature) and wouldn’t have the faith sufficient to hold up to the cunning and craftiness of men and women who try to distract and/or discourage from the truth as Jesus Christ established it through His apostles and prophets in Biblical times as well as today.
For you to blatantly say that no church/religion was organized by the Savior as a “fact” just shows how competent you are as a religious teacher or whatever you are trying to be. It’s unfortunate that you make so many claims on this website and one that is so easy to understand (Biblically) you swing and miss so badly.
Nelson,
Wow, Nelson I can tell the comments I made three years ago really struck a nerve with you. Well, all I can say is I stand by those comments. Jesus didn’t come to set up a church and/or religion for people to follow. He came to save souls, he came to pay the penalty for our sins so we wouldn’t have to.
In Old Testament, the prophets prophesied predicted Jesus’ coming.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Isaiah 53:3–5
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Come follow HIM, not a religion or come join a church.
He also said, Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. Again nothing about a religion being the way to the Father, only Him.
The rules and structure of the Mormon Church was/is set up by man, not Jesus Christ. Jesus made salvation very simple for us, he torn down the veil so that all could come into the presence of the Father, and all could experience eternal life.
While Mormonism hung the veil back up in an attempt to separate the people from God, and allow only a select few to experience their version of eternal life.
It was, and is the founders and leaders of Mormonism who have created this system you call a church. They have added to what God has said, instead of reading what’s there, and through emotional manipulation have made it so people are afraid to leave the church. – Melissa Grimes
Only another group critiquing all of you so call christians are the same my is the true We’ll Christ did show mercy and love for one another and not to be Pickering to others certain not the way to get into heaven love god love Jesus and stop writing stumped articles thad only benefit the non believers
Melissag71, Jesus did in fact set up a church, and he did tell people what they should and should not do. He is the savior, lord, messiah, etc, and it is his right to tell you and me how to come unto him and be his disciple. If you are into the “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” philosophy, then Alister Crowley might be the guy to look into. Jesus is not so liberal as a lot of people pretend he is. The version of him promoted by groups and sites like this could be summed up on one page, and there would be no need for that Bible you claim to believe but in practice deny.
I came across this site looking for Rudger Clawson information and probably will not be back to see future comments. However, my testimony will stand(if approved by the moderator.)
i wonder why “Mormons” are the target by all Christian foundations??? despite the fact that we don’t hear any Mormon sites targeting disagreements to any Christian foundations
Dear ‘Anonymous’ @ moungamele1 –
As an FYI, the official LDS Church, and its official site targets Christians every day. Declaring that Christianity is the ‘whore of Babylon’ in 1 Nephi 14:10, Joseph Smith’s official testimony in the Pearl of Great Price stating there were no true Christians on the face of the earth, and the daily existence of LDS teachings, all denounce Christianity.
Unfortunately, and most sadly, members of the LDS Church have been erroneously taught they’re persecuted, when in fact, it’s Mormonism that has attacked Christianity.
Studying LDS history will provide a wealth of information if you choose to read it.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle Grim
Hello to everyone from a subscriber living in the UK. I read with great interest the many testimonies on the website. Every testimony I read reveals to me the courage each individual displays in the face of years of indoctrination when the individual elects to leave the LDS Church. I read the many comments regarding the contradictions between the Book of Mormon text and the Bible text. I find the comments made by the ‘Life After Ministry’ team enlightening and informative. My opinion of Smith’s ‘Book of Mormon’ is the book fails from the outset as a history. I sometimes refer to Smith’s book as ‘mystery’ because there is no evidence supporting any claim in Smith’s book. On that basis alone I suggest one need look no further with regard to the doctrines and beliefs of the LDS Church.
I was baptized at 8 into the LDS church my mom was LDS my dad was Baptist . My grandfather and 2 uncles were Baptist preachers. I had the opportunity to go to many different churches. Church of God, Methodist church, Holiness Church my mother wanted me to make my own decision as to which church I would join and even after I was baptized I continued to pray and find out for myself what was true. I was never pressured infact it
Was the opposite all the leaders always taught that we should pray and ask God for any questions we might have. Jesus Christ was never paid and yet I hear of preachers who make millions of dollars our bishops are not paid they work like everyone else. The church does have a lot of money but they also spend alot of money to help people around the world as well as they have a welfare program to help those in need. Jesus Christ stands at the head of our church the name on the building is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. To say we are not Christian is a slap in the face . Its kind of strange that the church has grown so strong and big seems like to me the church has been blessed and it will continue to grow. Maybe instead of putting the church down you should write positive uplifting things for your readers and encourage them to seek out Jesus Christ no matter if they choose the LDS church or your church or which ever they choose. Satan has really clouded your mind so I will pray that you start a positive website to help bring people to Christ
