Thought of the Day about Mormonism…er..Catholicism?
You know just when you think you’ve got a full plate and you’ve haphazardly “told” God you’re thankful He doesn’t toss any other “ism” your way? Yeah, my piece of advice on that is DON’T DO IT!!!
I just received this e-mail a few minutes ago (April 30, 2012 – 7:10 pm) and thought I’d share it with my readers! I was thinking it sounds more than just a little familiar…hmmm…I wonder why. Enjoy! And by the way, this nice person’s name is Matt.
It is extremely important to become a Traditional Catholic to be saved. Outside the Catholic Church there is absolutely no Salvation. Visit www.vaticancatholic.com Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus (Outside the Catholic Church there is no Salvation) is a 2000 year old phrase of the Early Church Fathers.

protestants will not enter heaven – for it is man made religion. Only Christians will enter heaven, not protestants. The Pope St. Damasus made the Bible in 400 A.D. He decided which texts were or were not inspired. Before that, thousands of texts abounded, while Bishops accepting some for their diocese, while other Bishops accepted different texts for their flocks – and never agreed as to the precise makeup of Scripture. The monks of the Catholic Church and its Bishops endlessly and painstakingly copied and preserved the numerous texts that were accumulated. The writings of the direct students of the Apostles were considered sacred scripture, and read during public worship.
All the Church Fathers defended Catholic doctrines and adhered to Papal authority in unison. Indeed, it was the decision of Pope St. Damasus that settled the matter on what made up Sacred Scripture. The Catholic Church is infallible in the person of the Pope.
Lord Jesus Christ only founded one Church, and on Pope St. Peter the Glorious Prince of the Apostles. If a church cannot trace back its history lawfully in an unbroken line step by step to the Apostles, it is not the Church. Apostolicity is easily proved by the facts of history.
“…the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.” (1 Timothy3:15)
Matthew 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
It would be funny if it was a joke.
Amen to that!

Pretty sure that Catholic means Universal… The church that has the Pope and claims Peter as the rock which Christ will build His church upon is the “Roman” Catholic church.
Roman – Coming from Rome
Catholic – Universal
Church – the set apart or called out ones
How could Peter be the first Pope? He was married.
The Rock that Christ built His Church upon is the statement by Peter in Matt. 16:16, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”. Jesus just asked them in Matt. 16:15, “But whom say ye that I am?”
When Peter says He is the Christ, Jesus tells him that he is blessed because the Father has revealed it to him (the fact that Jesus is the Messiah) Matt. 16:17. That fact is the Church is built upon Jesus being our Savior and there is salvation found in no other one than Jesus, not Peter as the foundation, a mere man who denies the Lord just a few chapters later. And especially not found in any Church denomination…
Then in the Greek, Jesus calls Peter by the name that means “little rock” or “pebble”. He then uses the Greek word for “Boulder” or “mountain” when He says, “upon this rock (boulder, mountain) I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”
Anyone that calls on the Name of the Lord to be saved is imediatly “grafted” in to the True vine. We don’t identify ourselves as Christians because we go to a Christian church… We are Christians because we have put our Faith in the Lord Jesus, whose finished work on the cross has set us free from eternal seperation from God. For those of you out there that think membership in a church is going to save you, WAKE UP!!! Just because you go to church, doesn’t make you a Christian. Just because you were born in the United States, doesn’t make you a Christian. Just because your grandparents and parents go to church, doesn’t make you (or them) Christian. Just because you were baptized as an infant (or adult) doesn’t make you a Christian… Just because you walk into a garage, doesn’t make you a car!
Turn from your sin, seek the Lord, ask for forgiveness, ask Him to be the Lord of your life, and follow Him… BAM!!! You are now in the only True Church on Earth… your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life… you are now a member of the Body of Christ…
You are not a member of the Catholic church, the Baptist church, the Methodist church, the Luthern church, etc… You are a member of Christ’s Body. Now go and make disciples, preaching the Good News! Be salt and light unto the world as ambassadors of Christ.
