War in Heaven
“Christians in Belief and Action,” Ensign, Nov. 1996, 71; “In a premortal council at which we were all present, [the Savior] led the forces of good against those of Satan and his followers in a battle for the souls of men that began before this world was formed. That conflict continues today. We were all on the side of Jesus then. We are on the side of Jesus today.” – Joseph B. Wirthlin
Luke 9:51; “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.”
I know, the verse in Luke seems out of context doesn’t it? When you think about it though, it’s not the verse that’s out of context, but us.
When we allow ourselves the sinful “luxury” of letting our thoughts and imaginations run amuck we get God’s story out of order.
Is your face set towards Jerusalem? I saw the verse in Luke this morning and it reminded me of a question Oswald Chambers posed – “are we on our way to Jerusalem”. When our focus is towards what He is doing, what His plans are and what He has revealed to us through His word we won’t get things out of order. The war in heaven hasn’t happened yet. It’s a future event.

INDEED! That is the by-line of LDS! The whole Mormon Church is this way. Smith started it and others perpetuate it. If the Bible doesn’t say it, where are these things coming from? Satan loves lies and distortions. He uses men’s minds to say,”This is from God. This is a revalation!”
You can check your thoughts with the Bible-DO A REALITY CHECK! Is is in there? No? Trash the thought or idea. This is like the people who say that the age of the earth is such and such…we can’t answer that because it is NOT in the Bible.
