Adam, Prince over All Nations Forever
D&C 107:54-56; “And the Lord appeared unto them, and they rose up and blessed Adam, and called him Michael, the prince, the archangel. 55 And the Lord…said unto him:
I have set thee to be at the head; a multitude of nations shall come of thee, and thou art a prince over them forever. 56 And Adam…being full of the Holy Ghost, predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the latest generation.”
Genesis 12:1-3; “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Could this just be another coincidence? How is it that Adam’s sons said the same thing to their father that the Father of all said to Abraham?
Joseph Smith took the titles of God and Jesus, shuffled them around and placed them on various people in his scripture storylines.
The other problem in the Book of Abraham is who they say Adam was. The Prince of Peace? Really? God said Jesus is The Prince of Peace!
Isaiah 9:6; “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
How was Adam filled w/ the Holy Ghost? God said no one had received the Holy Ghost yet because Jesus hadn’t been glorified!
John 7:38-39; “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
How could Adam be Michael the archangel if he’s a man? Even Mormon theology disagrees with this as they teach that angels are resurrected men. Adam hadn’t been resurrected yet! – D&C 128:21.
