1830; “…the Everlasting God, was judged of the world.”
Today; “The Son of the everlasting God was judged of the world.”
We list these little examples as proof that the Book of Mormon has undergone major changes to its text which changed the meaning of what was originally taught or implied. This is merely one of the almost 4,000 changes that have been made since its first printing in 1830.
Smith said in History of the Church 4:461 that the Book of Mormon was the most correct book on earth. I wonder why that most correct book has gone through so many revisions…hmmm….
The other problem here is what it used to say compared to what it says now. They changed the teaching that Jesus is God in this verse, but have no fear!
There are still plenty of verses in the BoM that teaches Jesus is God. Don’t forget though…they don’t believe it.
