Plagiarizing Luke and Trinitarian Doctrine
2 Nephi 31:21; “And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.”
Acts 4:12; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
This one verse from the Book of Mormon poses a few problems.
1. Nephi has obviously plagiarized the Apostle Luke some 600 years before Luke wrote the book of Acts. How did that happen???
2. The LDS Church doesn’t ascribe to Trinitarian doctrine so how is this verse going to help my very active LDS mother? She certainly doesn’t believe Jesus is God or that the Holy Spirit is God!
3. Why did the Nephites know about Jesus before He was born and not the Jews in Israel?
4. How does someone believe in someone (i.e. Jesus) and His redeeming work before He’s paid the price for redemption?
