Just a quick sobering thought about the front page of the LDS Church’s website…
Today (9/18/13) I meandered over to the Church’s website to grab some info for a project I’m working on. Unfortunately I got sidetracked (not a surprise…) with the message they have on their front page. It said;
“The Lord Needs You
Learn how one young man’s desire to share his faith had a profound impact on many.”
If you’re a Christian you know better. God doesn’t need you. He doesn’t need me or anyone for that matter. You need God, I need God, your spouse and kids need Him and your co-workers need him. The only one in that group that doesn’t have needs is God!
Exodus 14:14; “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Acts 17:24-25; “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”
I believe it’s pretty evident and self explanatory from those two verses alone that God doesn’t need our help. If the Creator of this world needed me of all people then we’re all in a world of hurt!
Pray for those who see the Mormon’s website today and believe their message. Pray they see it as the lie that it is!
