Journal of Discourses 4:38; “When “Mormonism” finds favor with the wicked in this land, it will have gone into the shade; but until the power of the Priesthood is gone, “Mormonism” will never become popular with the wicked. “Mormonism” is not one farthing better than it was in the days of Joseph.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, August 31, 1856
2 Corinthians 10:17-18; “But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.”
I wonder what Brigham would think of the Church today. Cozying up with the whores of Babylon (aka the body of Christ) in social and moral issues, being on the board of the American Bible Association, the “I’m a Mormon” campaign, the race issue…
From the outside looking in it sure looks as if they’re striving to be popular, especially when they continue to complain that nobody likes them. If you don’t care what people think then what’s all the activity with outsiders about?
The tragic side of this is what we see all around us today with the body of Christ embracing the evil doctrines of Mormonism as if they’re a new best friend.
Paul warned us to be on guard and even Jesus Himself did the same. How can we as Christians stand idly by and not guard the flock? What did Jesus mean when He said “many will come in My name saying I am the Christ”? Matthew 24:4-5.
Here we have the Mormon Church openly admitting the Jesus they worship isn’t the same as the Jesus in the Bible and yet we open the gates…
When I met my husband Kirk he was a relatively new convert to the Church and one of the things he told me about his conversion to Mormonism still comes to mind today. He said the missionaries very definitely told him they don’t consider themselves to be Christian. To say that I was shocked would be an understatement as I’d always been raised to believe I was a Christian.
Looking back on it now he obviously sees how that should’ve been a red flag…hindsight as they says is 20/20.
