D&C 17:2; “And it is by your faith that you shall obtain a view of them, even by that faith which was had by the prophets of old.”
Hebrews 2:1; “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.”
Why did the witnesses to the Book of Mormon need faith to see a physical object? I don’t need faith to see a book!
Also – why didn’t Smith use the plates if he was doing a literal translation? His scribes described him using a hat with a rock inside of it to translate so where were the plates?

The Bible reminds us repeatedly the Bible can be trusted, the gospel has been delivered for us! The Lord isn’t going to leave His children hanging – He will and does always provide for us. It’s our job to heed His counsel and be thankful He’s provided for us!
