Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 385; “There is not a man or woman, who violates the covenants made with their God, that will not be required to pay the debt. The blood of Christ will never wipe that out, your own blood must atone for it; and the judgments of the Almighty will come, sooner or later, and every man and woman will have to atone for breaking their covenants”
1 John 1:7; “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin”.
Brigham’s right in one sense. Everyone will have to answer for what they’ve done. Now if you’re a Christian we know we don’t go before the Great White Throne because our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. For those who will go through the judgment, yeah, there’s trouble ahead.
Mr. Young’s words are so utterly blasphemous it’s difficult for my spirit to write the things out that he said.
If he’s calling himself a Christian then why would he say such things? How can our blood ever pay the price for our sin when Jesus already did that for us?
