Selected Writings of Robert L. Millet: Gospel Scholars Series, p 190; “The four Gospels are particularly plain in setting forth the true nature of God and the various labors of the members of the Godhead. Indeed, one has to become involved in a stretching series of doctrinal maneuvers in order to derive the concept of Trinity or of a triune God in the New Testament…
But Latter-day Saints are not limited by what is in the text of the New Testament. Through modern revelation we come to perceive and appreciate precious truths that have been lost to the religious world, insights that bring clarity and conviction to the study of the Bible”. – Robert Millet
Colossians 2:9-10; “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power”.
I’m wondering…
If people have stretched scripture why didn’t they just “fix” it? By that I mean why didn’t Joe offer up his scholarly insight of the 3 languages used by the authors of the Bible?
Where is his proof the scribes and scholars have transcribed and/or translated the original text incorrectly?
Attention all Christians: when people do this they’re attacking God, not man.
Look at what Mr. Millet said.
He begins his explanation of the Mormon godhead by accusing Christians of stretching scripture and then he completely leaves that subject matter by stating Mormons aren’t “limited” to just the “text” of the Bible.
At this point we’re not even talking about the Bible anymore. They do this to confuse readers, take attention away from God and focus on Joseph Smith.
Oh the father of lies is a sneaky one indeed.
